LVDT/RVDT Conditioner Calibrates While In Use

Oct. 1, 2001

Addressing time-consuming laboratory procedures, the microcontroller-based Model 451 LVDT/RVDT signal conditioner can be calibrated to the transducer while installed and operating. This is achieved via two front-panel controls, a pushbutton display, and a pushbutton rotary encoder. The conditioner provides three modes of operation: example, scale and gain. In example mode, the unit can capture the two extremes of motion, resulting in it being calibrated to the LVDT. Five excitation frequenciesÑ400, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 HzÑare also provided. Other features include 1Vrms or 3Vrms excitation voltages, a true-differential input with an impedance of 100 k½ ±5%, an output of ±10.5V at ±10 mA, and a linearity of 0.1%. Price is $995, with delivery from stock. For more details, call Peter Pepe at ECTRON CORP., San Diego, CA. (800) 732-8159.
