Flaunting a data transfer rate of 1.25 Gb/s, the G7871 and G7871-02 InGaAs PIN photodiodes have been specifically designed for 1.3 µm and 1.55 µm band optical fiber communications, respectively. Both photodiode devices feature a dynamic range of -25 dBm to -1 dBm, photo sensitivity of 2.8 V/mW, and a rise time of 250 ps.
With active areas of 0.08 mm, both high-speed receivers are available in a TO-18 can. The G7871 PIN photodiode has a flat window and the G7871-02 has a lens over its window. Both devices have a price of $23 each in large OEM quantities and are available in six weeks ARO.
