RF Power/Voltmeters Come In VXI Configurations

Sept. 1, 1999

The 5730 Series of universal RF power/voltmeters is available in VXI configurations to take both power and voltage measurements. The units are designed to meet the needs of military and commercial ATE applications that require multiple rack configurations. The 5730 series is able to sample up to 200 readings per second and can measure power levels from -70 dBm to +44 dBm within a 90-dB dynamic range. It measures RF voltage from 10 Hz to 2.5 GHz and covers 10 Hz to 100 GHz for power measurements. The dual-channel meters also allow readings in different units, such as decibels and milliwatts, to be displayed on different channels. As a voltmeter, the unit has a voltage range of 200 µV to 10V with true-RMS response below 30 mV. A zero-correction function stores the the zero offsets of each range and automatically corrects subsequent readings.
