System Designs/Tests Power Supplies And Conversion Components

Four PowerMeasure Systems instruments and a variety of supporting hardware and software analysis tools serve the needs of design and test engineers engaged in the development, test or manufacture of power conversion devices and power supplies. The systems start with high-performance current and differential voltage probes, and also include a low noise amplifier, a deskew accessory to remove interchannel timing differences and either a 500-MHz or 200-MHz color digital oscilloscope that has been customized with specific measurement capabilities. The oscilloscopes are from the firm's Waverunner series featuring a 9" color flat panel display and high-speed a/d converter on each measurement channel.Specific applications include instantaneous measurements, saturation and dynamic turn-on resistance, safe operating area, and modulation analysis of pulse-width-modulated power supplies.
