Development Tool Targets StarCore DSPs

June 1, 2000

Designed specifically for the StarCore SC100 generation of digital-signal processor cores, the MULTI 2000 integrated development environment is designed to automate all aspects of software development for the DSPs and is fully optimized to address the C multiprocessor optimizing controller built into the SC100 architecture. Other features of the tool include a window-oriented editor, real-time-operating-system -aware source-level debugger, graphical program builder, run-time error checker, version control system, and performance profiler. An instruction-set simulator allows programmers to develop and test SC100 code on a PC or workstation without the need for the target hardware. The MULTI 2000 for Windows costs $5900 and for Unix platforms, $8900.
