The Nucleus real-time operating system (RTOS) now handles Renesas SH4AL-DSP-based microcontrollers such as the SH-Mobile3. The DSP platform targets mobile multimedia applications. The RTOS can take advantage of the 3-Mpixel class camera module support, moving image processing by 2D/3D graphics engine and an MPEG-4 hardware accelerator.
