Designed for extreme temperature environments, the DT/ET Series of uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) can handle temperatures ranging from -40°C to +74°C. Based on the firm's DT Series, the 1000 VA, 19" rack-mount chassis is only 3 1/2" high and 12" deep. Other features of the UPSs include software selectable configuration, automatic bypass, cold start with no ac present, outputs that can be controlled remotely or from front panel, and PFC to near unity. The unit can provide power for 10 minutes to 10 hours or more, depending on the number of size of the attached batteries. Applications for the system include outdoor cabinets for telecommunications, intelligent transportation systems, security and surveillance equipment, water treatment plants, refineries and even offshore drilling platforms. Pricing starts at $2290.
