The software implements improvements on the algorithms used in the firm’s family of interactive speech ICs. It uses advanced filtering techniques to successfully recognize words with greater than 98% accuracy in an 80-dB noise environment, it’s claimed. As a result, the software makes voice recognition possible in many environments that have been regarded as difficult.The software’s WordSpotting feature enables devices to listen for words embedded in normal speech. There are also speaker-dependent and speaker-independent features. Name dialing for cell phones is another feature, as is digit dialing and speaker verification. The software is available now and is priced at a volume-dependent royalty.
