The PHE840 series of X2 capacitors now features smaller sizes, while the maximum capacitance value for this series has been increased to 10 µF. Applications for the highest C-value versions include ac motor drives, power inverters, and high-power SMPS. The smaller-size versions enable critical footprint savings in any electronic device requiring X2 capacitors. Fully agency approved at 275/280 V ac, the devices are priced about $0.50 each, depending on the value and quantity ordered.
