DC Motors Come With Planetary Gearboxes

June 28, 2010
HG16 series encoder-ready dc motors each come with a planetary gearbox.

RoHS compatible, the HG16 series encoder-ready dc motors each come with a planetary gearbox. The 16-mm motors offer two axial lengths of 36 mm and 40 mm and develop torques of 3.47 oz.-in. at 310 rpm (HG 16-030), 4.86 oz.-in. at 175 rpm (HG 16-060), 6.94 oz.-in. at 85 rpm (HG 16-120), and 6.94 oz.-in. at 55 rpm (HG 16-240). Windings rated at 6V (-AA), 12V (-AB), and 24V (-AC) are available with each gear ratio to match a range of application needs. The planetary gearboxes are integrated with the DC motor using 30:1 gear ratio for the HG 16-030 model, a 60:1 gear ratio for the HG 16-060 model, and 120:1 and 240:1 gear ratios with the HG 16-120 and HG 16-240 models, respectively. A total of 12 models are available depending on input voltages and gearbox ratios.  For further information, call NIDEC COPAL USA CORP., Torrance, CA. (310) 782-6102.
