High-Power Miniature Motors Can Produce Up To 226W

By melding high-power neodymium magnets with high-current-carrying graphite brushes, this new series of micro-motors is said to provide the high power and durability and quiet, smooth operation needed for applications such as precision instruments, medical electronics, robotics, and aerospace equipment. Measuring only 0.51" to 1.5" in diameter, the tiny motors can produce from 2W to 226W of power with mechanical time constants as low as 5.5 ms. Stall torque without gearheads ranges from 1.2 to 181.3 oz.-in. A line of in-line planetary gearheads with ratios up to 5647:1 for boosting torque up to 2124 oz.-in. is also available.
