Originally targeting Department of Defense applications, the company’s miniature refrigeration compressor is now available to end users and developers in commercial, industrial, medical, recreational, and consumer applications. The variable speed compressor employs a 24V, sensor-less brushless dc motor and operates with refrigerant HFC-134a, however other refrigerants are also viable. It weighs less than 1.5 lbs., measures 2.2” in diameter and 3” high, and produces over 300W (1,000 Btu/hr) of cooling at 130°F condensing and 45°F evaporating. Due to its low weight and small size, the compressor suits mobile and portable systems using either battery or vehicle power. For more information, call ASPEN COMPRESSOR LLC, Somerset, KY.
