UK’s Jennic partners with Taiwan's III to deliver ZigBee stack on its JN5121 wireless microcontroller.

Jennic has announced a partnership with Taiwan's Institute for Information Industry (III) to deliver ZigBee solutions. As the primary ICT research development organisation in Taiwan, III has ported its ZigBee stack to Jennic's JN5121 IEEE802.15.4 wireless microcontroller, and offer this solution to local customers in Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region.

The ZigBee stack is developed by the Networks and Multimedia Institute (NMI) of III, which has been involved in wireless sensor network and IEEE802.15.4 related research fields since 2002. Having joined the ZigBee Alliance in early 2004 and evolved as an IEEE802.15.4/ZigBee software solution provider, III became the first company in Asia to pass the ZigBee Compliant Platform certification.
