Removing particles as small as 0.1 micron, as well as fingerprints and light oils from smooth, non-porous surfaces such as semiconductors, disk drives, microcircuits and other delicate components, Sno-Gun-II is a dry ice cleaning process that does not scratch delicate surfaces. Even the finest wires attached to microcircuits remain undisturbed. The CO2 is non-conductive, allowing cleaning of electronic components. Cleaning with dry ice snow is said to remove particles of all sizes more thoroughly than blowing with dry nitrogen.
