The tack on the Thermo-Bond Film 644 allows speedy assembly for use in a wide range of electronic applications. The die-cuttable film is said to provide excellent adhesion to many substrates, bonding materials ranging from fabric to liquid crystal polymer, polyester film to aluminum, and more.
The film offers uniform coverage of precise shape and thickness control. Reaching handling strength is seconds, it provides for easy handling and precise positioning. The film holds together the casings and seals that house the batteries in handheld devices. It can also be used in the assembly of smart cards and PCMCIA cards. Available in 1.5, 4.0 and 10 mil thickness, the film offers strong heat resistance and bonds at 200°F.
