The SA-9 Series fume absorbers remove harmful airborne contaminants generated by manual soldering processes. The contaminants and fumes, such as irritating smoke and particulates, along with gases such as acetone, carbon monoxide and formaldehyde, are substances that have been shown to cause occupational asthma, sore throats, eye irritation, and other medical problems.Intended for low-volume fume generation scenarios, the SA-9 systems use 100-cfm fans that draw solder fumes through an 80% efficient urethane foam filter that’s impregnated with activated carbon. The unit’s aerodynamic hood design effectively draws irritating fumes away from the work area and into the filter. Thanks to its compact size, low profile and adjustable stand, the unit can be placed at a convenient 6" to 8" from the work area.
