Combining all of the advantages of cyanoacrylate and light cure adhesive chemistries, FLASHCURE adhesives are formulated to overcome many of the limitations associated with both cyanoacrylate and light cure types of adhesives. FLASHCURE offers instant fixtures and tack-free surfaces in less than 5 seconds when exposed to low, medium or high intensity light. The adhesives cure tack-free without the use of solvent-borne accelerators that can be flammable, must be inventoried, and require additional processing. They are surface insensitive and extremely versatile, offering excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates including rubber and polyolefins. The adhesive has a secondary moisture cure mechanism that allows it to cure completely in shadowed areas where light cannot reach. The products also minimize blooming and stress cracking of sensitive substrates, such as polycarbonate and acrylic.
