Group Intellect Power Technology rebrands U.S. power supply subsidiary as Brightworks Technology
GIPT says the new name will brand the Carlsbad, CA-based subsidiary's corporate identity and website for its North American operations. With the tagline, "We Build We Power," the Brightworks name aims to reflect the company's manufacturing and design expertise moving forward.
“We are excited to launch our new name Brightworks Technology," said GIPT CEO Daniel Ma. "The Brightworks name reflects the intelligence and future of our products and services for the U.S. market. We needed a name that better reflected our design and manufacturing expertise for today’s rapidly changing world,” said Daniel Ma, CEO of parent company Group Intellect Power Technology Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong.
GIPT describes Brightworks as a provider of standard and custom power solutions and OEM manufacturing services for consumer, industrial, IT/Telecom, LED lighting, and medical applications. These products are built in its affiliate companies' manufacturing plants in Vietnam and China, spanning over 242,000 square feet of manufacturing space, including the recent addition of 160,000 square feet to its Vietnam campus. GIPT adds that Brightworks has built a unique EMC/EMI pre-compliance testing lab at its Carlsbad headquarters to speed time to market for their North American customers. GIPT claims the testing lab is the only one in North America with a GTEM 2000 chamber that can test large sized customer products with DC loads of up to 5KW with AC input ranging from 85Vac to 520Vac. "Pre-testing products for EMC/EMI compliance is vital to ensure that a new electrical/electronic product design is safe, not susceptible to interference, and will not generate excessive radio frequency energy," GIPT said Wednesday.
“Manufacturing today’s power conversion and consumer products requires more than state-of-the-art automated machinery and large capacity plastic molding equipment. It takes design collaboration, pre-compliance testing, NPI process control, world-class manufacturing, advanced technologies, and global operational efficiencies," said Brightworks Technology president Robert Carl. "Brightworks’ newly expanded staffing in the U.S. combined with our parent company's 30-year tradition of quality and commitment to excellence ensures the highest level of success for our customers around the world—from start to finish."
