NEC purchases Moore MPU PatentPortfolio license

NEC Corporation (www.nec.com) has purchased a Moore Microprocessor PatentPortfolio license from Patriot Scientific Corporation (www.ptsc.com).

NEC Corporation has purchased a Moore Microprocessor PatentPortfolio license from Patriot Scientific Corporation. The portfolio consists of seven patents covering fundamental design techniques that are said to enable higher performance and lower-cost systems for automobiles and other products. The portfolio is co-owned by Patriot and the TPL Group. TPL had filed patent infringement claims against NEC, Matsushita and Toshiba in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (www.txed.uscourts.gov).
