Three 800W, hot-swappable power modules are connected in parallel in the TPCMR1U 1U high, 19" rack to create a 2,400W front-end power system for use in equipment using a 48 or 24 Vdc power bus; a 12 Vdc output version is also available. The power system's back panel contains all I/O connections, including separate ac inputs for each module, copper output bus bars, and a 25-pin D-Sub connector for control signals. With a maximum depth of 12", the modules produce 48 Vdc at 50A (2,400W), 24 Vdc at 87.5A (2,100W), or 12 Vdc at 150A (1,800W) in a non-redundant mode and 48 Vdc/33.3A (1,600W), 24 Vdc/58.3A (1,400W), and 12 Vdc/100A (1,200W) in a 2+1 redundant mode. Other features of the front-end power system include a universal, 85 to 264 Vac input voltage range, input PFC, remote sensing, a 5 Vdc, 250 mA standby output, and integral LED status indicators. And the system meets Class B conducted EMI standards. Beginning price for the TPCMR1U rack is $415 each in moderate volumes and for the TPCM power modules, $405.
