The D104C is a shielded inductor that's designed for use as a dc choke coil in portable applications. According to its manufacturer, these include dc-dc converters for laptop computers, as well as dc-ac converter modules for flat-panel LCD backlighting. It's available in 1.0- to 47.0-µH inductance values, with a maximum current rating of 9.5 A at 1.8 µH. And, it measures 10.3 by 10.3 mm, with a maximum 4.5-mm profile. Packaged on tape and reel in 500-piece quantities, the D104C is priced at $1.00 each in 10,000-quantities.
