Four new members have been added to the ComboMemory SST34HF16XX product family. Each device is comprised of 16 Mb of flash and 2 or 4 Mb of static RAM. Incorporating a dual-bank flash memory architecture, the devices can perform concurrent operations between the two internal flash memory banks and the SRAM. Data can be read from either bank while an erase or program operation is in progress in the opposite bank. Applications include mobile wireless communications and Internet-based PDAs. Pricing for the 2 Mb SST34HF1621/2 is $12 each/100,000, while the 4 Mb SST34HF1641/2 is $17.
