Promising ease of adoption, three microcontrollers with integrated transmitters and two UHF receivers target both novice and experienced RF designers. The 20-pin rfPIC12F675K/F/H PICmicro MCUs with integrated UHF transmitters deliver an output power of 6 dBm over three frequency ranges: 260 to 350 MHz (rfPIC12F675K), 390 to 450 MHz (rfPIC12F675F), and 850 to 930 MHz (rfPIC12F675H). Maximum data rate for each is 40 Kb/s. Operating voltage is from 2V to 5.5V with a standby current of 100 nA. The MCU section includes a 14-bit instruction set with 1.8 KB of flash memory, 64 bytes of RAM, 128 bytes of EEPROM, an analog comparator, and four channels of 10-bit A/D conversion. In 32-pin LQFPs, the rfRXD0420 and rfRXD0920 single-conversion super-heterodyne receivers operate from 300 to 450 MHz and 850 to 930 MHz, respectively. Other features include a maximum data rate of 80 Kb/s, supply voltage from 2.5V to 5.5V, and a standby current of 100 nA. Depending on the LNA setting, active supply current ranges from 6.5 to 8.2 mA for the rfRXD0420 and 7.5 to 9.2 mA for the rfRXD0920.
