For high-frequency designs, the company’s magnetic amorphous c-cores provide several advantages over silicon steel, ferrite, and powdered iron cores such as a near 50% size and weight reduction. A lamination thickness of 25 mm results in much lower core losses. Also, amorphous cores operate at higher frequencies at the same flux level while conventional steel cores must operate at lower flux densities as the frequency increases.
