Constructed using a ceramic material in a monolithic design, the PM0402 Series of multilayer, surface-mount inductors are said to be well-suited for use in high-frequency applications and to offer high reliability and stable electrical characteristics. Inductance range for the series extends from 1.0 to 56 nH, dc current specs range from 150 to 300 mA, and operating temperatures run from -25°C to +105°C. The miniature (0.5 mm x 0.5 mm) chip inductors are also said to offer high Q values. Available in tape-and-reel packages of 10,000 devices/reel, PM0402 inductors cost from $0.10 to $0.12 each, depending on order quantity, and are expected to find use in a host of electronic products, including cell phones, PDAs, pagers, high-frequency wireless communications products, network cards, notebook computers, and printers.
