Extending the HVC series thick-film, surface-mount chip resistors are components with limiting element voltages of 1 kV, 2 kV, and 3 kV in 1206, 2010, and 2512 industry-standard chip sizes, respectively. Their ceramic substrate incorporates integral screened resistors, set by active trimming at the factory, to provide power ratings from 0.3W to 1W at 70_C. Resistance values range from 100 k_ to 1 G_ with tolerances down to 0.5% and TCRs to 100 ppm/°C. Operating temperatures range from -55°C to 150°C. The resistors can be immersed in 260_C solder for 30 seconds and are fully compatible with high-speed placement equipment and all types of soldering processes. Prices range from $0.20 to $1.50 each in quantity. For further details, call TT ELECTRONICS, Boone, NC. (828) 264-8861.
