Impervious to corrosion due to moisture, the RNV Series high-voltage metal film resistor delivers robust environmental performance in a 0.25W body size rated up to 1.6 kV and designed to withstand multiple 10-kV pulses with less than a 1% shift in resistance. The component also withstands elevated temperatures seen during a potting process, for example, with little resistance shift. Unlike standard axial leaded metal film resistors, the RNV is highly resistant moisture corrosion due to the nitride metal film element. Pricing varies with tolerance and ranges from $0.027 to $0.033 each in full package quantities. STACKPOLE ELECTRONICS INC., Raleigh, NC. (888) 734-7347.
