Promising to virtually eliminate distortion in high-end audio, multimedia, and broadcast applications, the CAR resistors employ a protective coating, rather than molding or encapsulation. Enlisting Vishay’s Bulk Metal Z Foil resistor technology, the components specify less than -40 dB of current noise and are trimmable to any resistance value from 10 Ohms to 100 kiloOhms. They also reports impressive temperature coefficient of resistance and power coefficient of resistance figures. Other features include a rise time of 1 ns without ringing, non-inductive non-hot-spot design, and the ability to withstand electrostatic discharges greater than 25 kV.
