The 2025 IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) International Microwave Symposium (IMS 2025) is taking place from June 15-20 in San Francisco, California. The event is co-located with the IEEE Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits Symposium (RFIC) along with the Automatic Radio Frequency Techniques Group (ARFTG) Conference.
IMS 2025 will also be co-located with the IEEE Hard Tech Venture Summit for the first time. It’s an event that connects tech startup founders with investors and manufacturers. Offering a platform for innovation and collaboration, it will feature panels and talks with leaders in the venture capital and small business innovation research communities.
That will be complemented by a Hard Tech Pavilion, located near the StartUp Pavilion and MicroApps Theater on the exhibit floor. A variety of thematic areas include Systems and Applications, Aerospace and Security, Chips for Critical Infrastructure, and Emerging Technologies, Innovations, and Entrepreneurship.
Among other activities are the co-located, industry-focused Future G Summit, jointly sponsored by the MTT-S and the IEEE Antennas and Propagation, Communications, and Photonics Societies. Initiatives include the Industry Showcase, Best Industry Paper Award, and technical session keynotes.
San Francisco is the home of some of the USA’s most famous landmarks, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and Ghirardelli Square, as well as the city's famous cable cars. IMS2025 will take place at the recently renovated Moscone Center, located in San Francisco's South of Market district.
In this podcast we talk to Jin Bains, CEO of Mini-Circuits, and Wendy Shu, CEO of Eravant, about the event and some of the opportunities it provides to visitors.
