30-W LED Power Supply Features Three-Way Dimming Capability

Nov. 7, 2013
The GLCD 30 series of universal-input, constant-current 30-W LED drivers offers three-way dimming: 0 to 10 V dc, pulse-width modulation, and 10- to 100-kΩ resistance external dimming control.

The GLCD 30 series of universal-input, constant-current 30-W LED drivers offers three-way dimming: 0 to 10 V dc, pulse-width modulation, and 10- to 100-kΩ resistance external dimming control. Developed by Green Watt Power (a division of Calex Mfg. Co. Inc.), the supplies have current options of 350, 500, 700, 1400, and 1750 mA. Dimming ranges from 10% to 100%. Input range is 100 to 277 V ac with an input frequency range of 47 to 63 Hz. Power factor correction is 0.95 at 110-V ac input. Total harmonic distortion is less than 20%. Other key specs are 87% efficiency, 5% ripple and noise, a two-second setup time, and a 200-ms rise time. Protection includes auto-recovery short circuit, overtemperature shutdown, and overcurrent. Operating temperature ranges from −35 to 70°C. The RoHS-compliant GLCD 30 comes in a 5.98- by 1.73- by 1.25-in. case with an IP67 rating.
