The members of the VLT130 family of 130-W open-frame switching ac/dc power supplies play host to a variety of features. These include single-wire current share, remote sense, power-factor correction, overcurrent and overvoltage correction, tight output load regulation, voltage trim potentiometers, and power fail. All of this comes in a 3- by 5- by 1-in. package.

These 18 different quad- and single-output products are available in current-sharing configurations, which permits two of the power supplies to run in parallel. This provides full redundancy for high-reliability applications. Each model weighs less than 10.5 oz. and meets the EN61000-3-2 standard for power-factor correction. The devices also have ac input power from 90 to 264 V ac, and ac/dc power conversion typically at 82%. Worldwide EMI/RFI requirements are met. In addition, they operate from 0°C to 50°C.

The family is available now, with 8- to 10-week lead times. Quad-output models sell for $110 each and single-output items cost $92 each, both in 100-unit quantities.
