Dual Transistor Eases VCO Design

July 1, 2002
The UPA895TD twin transistor combines two NE851 NPN oscillator chips in a six-pin TD package measuring 1.2 mm x 0.8 mm. In essence, users can design two voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) with a single device. Operating frequency (fT) is 4.5 GHz

The UPA895TD twin transistor combines two NE851 NPN oscillator chips in a six-pin TD package measuring 1.2 mm x 0.8 mm. In essence, users can design two voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) with a single device. Operating frequency (fT) is 4.5 GHz with a noise spec of 1/f. Other characteristics include a maximum collector current (ICMAX) of 100 mA and a power consumption of 10 mA typical at 1V. Price is $0.35 each/100,000.
