Touted as one of the industry's smallest chip antennas, the ANT-2.5-CHP targets 2.4 GHz applications, including Bluetooth, 802.11, Home RF, ZigBee, and other standards looming on the horizon. An advanced multilayer LTCC technology and a proprietary hybrid spiral element are said to be responsible for the antenna's small size—it measures just 6.5 mm x 2.2 mm x 1 mm. Other specs include a 50? characteristic impedance, unity gain with a linear polarization, and a usable frequency bandwidth of 120 MHz with a center frequency of 2.45 GHz. In addition, the component is said to be stable over temperature and humidity. Offered in a surface-mount package compatible with hand and reflow soldering, price is $0.79 each in production quantities. ANTENNA FACTOR, Grants Pass, OR. (800) 489-1634.
