Targeting the portable products market, the uPD720101 USB 2.0 host controller is fully compliant with the Enhanced Host Controller Interface specification (EHCI) version 1.0. The chip consumes 11 mA in PC standby mode and 220 mA in a non-configured state. It is reported that peripherals can connect to the host controller using up to three-fifths less power than with the company’s first USB 2.0 host controller LSI chip.
