Three new high-speed PECL/LVPECL multiplexers are said to meet the ultra-low jitter and skew requirements of SONET/SDH communications systems, high-end enterprise server apps, and ATE systems. The SY100EP56V/57V/58V feature low random jitter of less than 1 ps rms and deterministic jitter of less than 25 ps pk-pk. Guaranteed ac parameters over temperature (-40°C to 85°C) and supply voltage (3.0V to 5.5V) include: maximum frequency of greater than 3 GHz; output rise and fall times of less than 230 ps; and propagation delay of 500 ps. Pin-for-pin compatible with comparable parts from ON Semiconductor, the SY100EP56V dual differential 2:1 MUX and SY100EP57V differential 4:1 MUX are priced at $4.98 each/1,000, while the SY100EP58V 2:1 MUX is priced at $3.95.
