Offered as the industry's first standardized PCI-X bridge for use in storage area networks (SANs), enterprise computing, and voice and data communication systems, the PCI-X bridge product was designed for systems requiring high bandwidth and fast I/O capabilities. PCI-X technology increases bus capacity of the conventional PCI bus bandwidth, extending the 66 MHz standard to 133 MHz performance using either a 32- or 64-bit bus. The new bridge device is backward compatible with the PCI bus and also supports configuration of PCI or PCI-X mode on either bus in any combination. Estimated pricing is $52.00 each/1,000.
