Offered as the industry's first RF module to be pre-approved by the FCC, the company has obtained a Grant of Authorization from the FCC allowing certain modules to be integrated into products without further certification. It is claimed that the grant will reduce the FCC's case load and save the company's customers both money and from delays to bringing their products to market.
The first module available, the TR-916-SC-PA, is a synthesized transceiver that operates in the 900-MHz band and is capable of transferring analog and digital content bi-directionally. The module is priced at $34.70 each in production quantities and will begin shipping this month.
