The CX82340 asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) router and 802.11b wireless local area network (WLAN) chip allows multiple users to share a broadband connection through a wireless network. The bridge and router section features a scaleable architecture and is compliant with all major ADSL standards including T1.413 Issue 2, G.dmt and G.lite Annex A and Annex B, as well as interoperable with digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAMs). Based on a 168 MHz ARM940T core, the device includes an 802.11b media access controller (MAC) and baseband processor based on technology from Intersil, a 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet MAC, and a USB 1.1 interface.
