A pair of new GaAs 5-bit digital attenuators-- the AA101-80 and AA102-80-- are suited to applications such as base stations and wireless data loop gain level control circuits requiring high attenuation accuracy, low insertion loss, and low intermodulation products. The AA101-80 is designed for 0.5 to 2 GHz applications and has an LSB of 1 dB and a total attenuation of 31 dB. The AA102-80 has an LSB of 0.5 dB, a total attenuation of 15.5 dB, and is designed for 0.5 to 2.5 GHz systems. Housed in SSOP-16 plastic packaging, both devices feature single positive control for each bit and low dc power consumption. Pricing is $4.05 each in volume.
