Providing upgrades for legacy MAX3224E to MAX3227E RS-232 transceivers, the MAX13234E to MAX13237E family of RS-232 transceivers deliver data rates up to 3 Mb/s and integrate low-voltage, logic-level translation. Operating with 1 ?A of supply current, all transmitter outputs and receiver inputs are protected to ±15 kV Air-Gap Discharge and ±8 kV Contact Discharge per IEC 1000-4-2 as well as ±15 kV using the Human Body Model. The MAX13234E and MAX13235E feature two receivers and two transmitters and are available in TQFN and TSSOP packages. The MAX13236E and MAX13237E have a single receiver and transmitter and come in TQFNs. The MAX13235E and MAX1237E guarantee data rates up to 3 Mb/s while the MAX13234E and MAX13236E support 250 kb/s. All devices operate from a 3V to 5.5V supply. Prices start at $2.70 each/1,000 for the MAX13234E and MAX13235E and $1.99 each/1,000 for the MAX13236E and MAX13237E.
