Providing full support for the HomePlug 1.0 specification, the CX11647 PHY transceiver enables data rates of up to 14 Mb/s over a home's existing electrical wiring system. The transceiver includes QoS features such as prioritized random access, contention-free access, and segment bursting. Its IEEE 802.3u media-independent interface can be configured as a general-purpose serial interface so the device can be paired with any embedded media access controller.
