The HP-II series of RF modules is said to offer a variety of performance gains compared with the popular HP series that preceded it. Like the earlier units, the HP-II modules feature eight selectable binary channels in the 902 to 928 MHz band. They offer lower receiver power consumption, reduced harmonics, higher sensitivity, improved startup and a 50-kbps maximum data rate.Optimum performance is said to be assured by a microprocessor-controlled, synthesized architecture. For digital applications, the modules can be directly interfaced with any microcontroller, encoder/decoder or UART for serial data transfer at rates to the 50-kbps maximum. The modules also can transmit analog information within a 50 Hz to 25 kHz range. Uses include data links, process/status control, security, home and industrial automation, and more.
