Claimed as the industry's first family of 3.3-V transmitter-receivers for the controller area network (CAN), the HVD23x CAN transceivers currently consists of two devices. The SN65HVD230 provides a programmable output transmission time or slew rate control.
The SN65HVD231 offers programmable slope control and a full sleep mode. For more cost-sensitive applications, the SN65HVD232 is a basic device without slew-rate control, standby mode, or sleep mode. Prices for the SN65HVD230, SN65HVD231 and SN65HVD232 are $1.92, $1.92 and $1.75, respectively, each/1,000.
