Targeted at ADSL/VDSL/xDSL applications, the LT1969 is a miniature CPE line driver that consists of dual op amps with high-output power, low distortion, and very-high speed. Features such as an adjustable supply current and two-bit digital power control allow designers to trade off power consumption for output power to achieve optimum DSL line driver performance. Two-bit digital programmability provides up to four driver conditions: maximum output power to support maximum speed and reach; reduced output power for driving short lines; low output impedance to preserve line termination; and micro power shutdown. Specifications include output power of ±300 mA, total harmonic distortion (THD) of -72 dBc at 1 MHz, and gain bandwidth product of 700 MHz.
