DOCSIS Tuner Breaks 160-Mb/s Barrier

Breaking speed records, the MT2170 embarks as the industry's first 1-GHz input tuner based on the CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 specification, delivering data speeds beyond 160 Mb/s and a 100-MHz bandwidth. The MT2170 tuner reportedly offers the equivalent functionality of four DOCSIS 2.0 digital tuners in a 7 mm x 7 mm QFN package.
