Designed for Internet infrastructure and networking applications requiring a 10-Gb/s data transmission rate, the MF-10Kxxx family of transponders integrates a transmitter, receiver and multiplexer/demultiplexer functions into one package. Designed for 0.6- to 12-km transmissions, the MF-10KMXF uncooled family delivers a maximum power of 0 dBm and a -12 dBm sensitivity at 1,310 nm.
The MF-10KMXA and MF-10KMXG cooled transponders are for 40-km transmissions and have a maximum power output of +2 dBm and a -14 dBm sensitivity at 1,550 nm. Handling 60- to 80-km transmissions, the MF-10KMXH family delivers an output power of 2 dBm and a sensitivity of -26 dBm at 1,550 nm. Sample prices range from $16,963 to $36,536 each.
