Introduced as the industryÕs first single-chip dual stream (DS) demodulator for satellite receiver systems, the CX24130 is optimized for use with the companyÕs CX24108 RF satellite tuner ICs. The QPSK demodulator boasts of superior BER performance, low power dissipation, and a small form factor. The device is compliant with DVB and DSS specifications and provides digital de-rotation, digital filtering, equalization, and Viterbi/Reed-Solomon forward error correction. Advanced demodulator features include automatic correction for external quadrature gain and phase imbalances and dc offsets and automatic gain control (AGC). A carrier tracking loop corrects for frequency offsets and an automatic acquisition algorithm searches and acquires the carrier during initial acquisition.
