Based on a state-machine architecture, the Xframe II 10-Gbit/s Ethernet adapter delivers full line-speed operation over its PCI-X 2.0 host-bus interface. Similarly, the Xframe E card does the same over a PCI Express host interface. Extensive protocol offloads and assists reduce host processor loading and optimize bus utilization. Additionally, the PCI-X card offers a deepsplitbus transaction capability to further improve utilization of the PCI-X bus while achieving half the latency of previous 1-Gbit adapters. The Xframe cards fully comply with the IEEE 802.3ae 10-Gbit standard and use standardized physical-media-dependent modules to ensure interoperability. Both cards support IPv4 and IPv6. Their comprehensive stateless offloads preserve the integrity of current TCP/IP implementations. The cards support up to eight levels of quality of service, allowing traffic to be classified, prioritized, and queued at line rate. Single-unit price for the PCI-X 2.0 card is $3990. Units are immediately available.
