Designed to extend the range of fiber-optic systems, the OL4128N-160 and -180 1,480-nm pump-laser modules are ready for use with the next generation erbium doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs). Both modules support DWDM and are intended for use in long haul, fiber-optic systems. The OL4128N-160 in a 14-pin butterfly package provides an output power of 160 mW and includes an isolator, photodiode, and a thermo-electric cooler. The OL4128N-180, in a similar package, provides all the same features except it delivers an output power of 180 mW. Single-unit pricing in 1,000 piece quantities for the OL4128N-160 and the OL4128N-180 is $1,100 and $1,500 each, respectively. OKI SEMICONDUCTOR, Sunnyvale, CA. (408) 720-1900.
