Designed for WiMAX applications, the AT86RF535A transceiver is a single-chip radio operating at 3.5 GHz with multiple bandwidth options. The device combines a low-noise amplifier, power-amp driver, receive/transmit mixer, receive/transmit filters, voltage-controlled oscillator, synthesizer, receive gain control, and transmit-power control, all under digital government within a 56-lead QFN package. Operating from 2.7V supply, the device features a differential design, low-IF receiver architecture that requires no external filters, a self-calibration mode, channel bandwidths of 1.75 MHz, 3.5 MHz, and 7 MHz, and modulation up to 64 QAM.
